1979

   First Soup Kitchen opens

1981

   Van Ministry initiated at St. Juliana’s Church

1982

  Van Ministry expands to include St. Paul of the Cross Church 

1983

   The Lord's Place incorporated in the

State of Florida 

   First Family Shelter opens in West Palm Beach 
USDA Food Program Initiated

 
1984

   Palm Beach Auxiliary is formed and begins fundraising efforts

1986

   Second Family Shelter opens in Boynton Beach

1989

   Second Family Shelter expands  


   Pahokee Day Care Center Opens
 
1990

   Third Family Shelter opens in Pompano Beach

1994

   USDA Food Program ceases operation due to lack of USDA food

1996

   Suzanne Cabrera becomes Executive Director of The Lord’s Place, managing 4 staff members and a $300,000 budget

1997

   The Lord’s Place Thrift & Gift Store opens in Lantana  
   Van Ministry expands to include CROS Ministries
 
1998

   The Lord's Place receives HUD Grant to build new West Palm Beach Family Shelter
   Van Ministry expands to include United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches
   Joshua House opens
   The Lord’s Place Antiques & Collectibles Store opens in Lantana    
   Pompano Beach facility is sold to the Archdiocese of Miami
 
1999

   Capital campaign begins to raise $2.3 million for new West Palm Beach Family Shelter
   Board of Directors for both The Lord’s Place and Cafe Joshua begin discussing a merger
 
2000

   The Lord’s Place breaks ground on its new West Palm Beach Family Shelter 
   The Lord’s Place and Cafe Joshua merge into one organization
 
2001

   West Palm Beach Family Shelter opens

2002

   The Lord’s Place Antiques & Gift Store renamed The Lord's Place Thrift Store
 
   Building at 2808 N. Australian is purchased and renovated to house expanded Cafe Joshua and administrative offices
 
2003

   Cafe Joshua and administrative offices move to Australian Avenue

2004

   Cafe Joshua Apprentice Program launched

2005

   Operation Jumpstart initiated in collaboration with the Palm Beach County Division of Human Services
   Cafe Joshua Catering Company begins operation

 
2006

   Operation Jumpstart Sober House opens
   2701 Broadway purchased by Housing Partnership for 811 Housing Program
 
2007

   Diana L. Stanley becomes the Executive Director 
   Joshua House moves to the Boynton Beach property with Operation Jumpstart creating the Men's Campus 

   The Emergency Family Program moves to West Palm Beach creating a Family Campus with the Permanent Family Program 
   The Engagement Center opens at 2808 N. Australian Avenue 
   The Recovery Center for single men opens joining Joshua House and Operation JumpStart at the Men's Campus in Boynton
